MarkerSets For jEdit is a useful and simple jEdit plugin that allows you to manage multiple sets of markers, where each set can contain notes from various files. The plugin allows you to easily export the marker sets to a XML file, change the active marker set, as well as to assign colors for each set. With this plugin you can: • Set up multiple sets of markers• Export the marker sets to XML• Edit the XML file• Re-import the XML file• Change the active marker set The plugin is designed to work seamlessly with jEdit 5.3 or later. Unfortunately, since JEdit 5.3 the xml plugin is now located in the the jEdit\plugins\Markers folder. If you are on JEdit 5.2 or earlier then you can download the plugin from the jEdit forums in this thread. Edit the XML file and choose the marker files from the export button in the editor's toolbar. Then simply add/change the markers as you wish. Click the "Update Markers" button to export and save the changes. I agree with you that it's an easy plugin, but still doesn't work well with the latest version of Jedit. I have 4 sets of markers in my xml file and use it with Jedit 4.2.2. The plugin still works well with Jedit 4.1.0. The problem lies with the plugin. It doesn't update the xml file when Jedit imports the xml. So I don't think it's a problem with the xml file. In fact, it's a bug with the plugin. It's really easy and quick to do, I just wanted to say that I think the plugin doesn't work well with Jedit 5.3. I believe that the project for the full version of the plugin has been suspended because the developer is not answering any of my e-mails. I have reached the stage that I think I will have to look into this myself. I may be able to get the plugin to work with Jedit 5.3 if I can find the time to look into the bugs and develop a workaround. Since you say that you have multiple sets of markers in the file, does it not work as expected when you try to set more than one set at a time? In other words, does the plugin not work with more than one set at a time? I use this as a bookmark plugin, though this feature is not available in the 4.x version. It can export and import a set of markers at one time. I think that the extension will work with the latest versions of Jedit, but I do not know the current version of Jedit. However, I have found that the old plugin has worked on Jedit 5.3.0 and the latest version of Jedit (5.3.0
